The Alexandria and Douglas County area is located in the heart of Minnesota’s lakes country, providing access to recreational amenities throughout all seasons. Lakes, rivers, bike/snowmobile/walking trails, skiing, parks, and much more make this area highly attractive to residents and visitors of all ages.  Regional employers have sited the area's natural amenities as a key tool for recruiting people to the area.
